My husband (Chris) and I achieved our goal of reaching Everest Base Camp on Tuesday 02/10/2023.

The trip was an incredible journey with some days being very difficult but overall extremely rewarding.

From beautiful views, to 1000’s of Yaks and Mules along the way… I cannot even begin to describe the beauty and serenity of the area.

We met some amazing friends during our 14 days in the Himalayas and cannot speak more highly of the beautiful nation and its humble people.

In total we trekked approximately 90km with an elevation of 5364m to base camp, unfortunately due to weather delays we were forced to catch a helicopter from Pheriche to Lukla to allow us to catch our international flight home. Our flight was delayed again and we then had to take a helicopter from Lukla to Kathmandu, these flights were quite the experience and we got some amazing views of the mountain range.
