Certas Energy Isle of Wight

Sterling Services has secured the £1.2m fuel oil depot at the Isle of Wight

Three fuel tanks
Three 125,000-litre, internally bunded, fuel tanks will now be installed on the Whippingham site, as well as an office building, switch room and external lighting.

Supplying a variety of fuels
The new site for the energy company will have a loading operation,  supplying road diesel, kerosene, and industrial and home heating oil for Island homes and businesses.

A spokesperson for Certas Energy said: “When Isle of Wight Fuels closed last year, Certas Energy moved quickly to ensure security of supply to the Isle of Wight. With the support of the council and residents, Certas Energy made sure the Island did not run out of fuel.
