6 weeks during the school summer holidays 2023

Brief Description of works

The existing male and female toilets were made into a large single space Unisex toilets with a full refurbishment of all areas, new services, cubicles and sanitaryware. The works included:

Demolition & Strip out works:

· Isolation of services.

· Asbestos Removal

· Demolition of dividing wall

· Removal of timber stud and cement based toilet partitions.

· Removal of the existing windows and external walling.

· Removal of an old tile and grid suspended ceiling and lighting.

· Removal of all existing floor coverings.

· Break out the existing floor for new drainage.

New installation works:

· New above and below ground drainage.

· Facing brick cavity wall construction and new windows.

· Complete Plumbing Installation.

· Full rewire and new lighting

· New mechanical ventilation from each cubicle to external.

· MF Bulkhead ceilings above partitions with central tiled suspended ceiling.

· Roller Shutter Entrance Doors

· New IPS panels and partitions, including 2 ambulant w.c.s and one fully disabled space.

· Central WHB island with full length vanity unit and tiling.

· Full re decoration and installation of new vinyl flooring.

Additional Works Instructed during the contract.

· Full Refurbishment of a classroom and an office.

· Double doorway formed between 2 classroom and making good finishes and services.

This work was also completed in the school holiday period.

The completed project has delivered a modern unisex facility for the school.

The client team were very happy with the finished product delivered by the Sterling team and are looking forward to working with us again on future schemes.
