Sterling Services has been recognised for its support of Incredible Edible, with project lead Karen Mower sharing a powerful testimonial on the impact of that partnership.
“The support that you have all given to our community project is so heartwarming – words just cannot express how much this means,” she said, adding: “I don’t think you realise just how much of a huge positive difference you do actually make… you make so much of a difference.”
The scale of local need is stark. At a recent session, “over £5000 worth of food… went out in less than 5 hours,” supporting “over 150 people,” with queues lasting “at least an hour and on some times 2 hours” — a clear sign that “people don’t queue for them lengths of times if they don’t need this.”
Beyond essential provision, the initiative is rebuilding community connections: “We have built up an amazing community here, all supporting each other… people who are isolated and alone making friends.”
Summing up the impact, Mower said: “None of this could have been done if it wasn’t for people, companies, organisations like yourselves – so from the Heart – Thank You so much.”
