The project at Evelyn Primary School involved the refurbishment of the school’s toilet facilities, providing modern, hygienic, and durable spaces for both pupils and staff. Works included the strip-out of existing cubicles, fixtures, and finishes, followed by the installation of new cubicles, sanitary ware, and vinyl flooring. In the nursery area, a staff toilet was updated with a new staff kitchen with a sink, while the nursery toilets received new suspended ceilings, decoration, and upgraded finishes throughout. Staff toilets were also fully refurbished with new sinks, sanitary ware, lighting, suspended ceilings, and flooring. The project successfully delivered refreshed, functional, and high-quality facilities for the school community.
One of the main challenges on this project was the tight lead-in times for materials, which posed a risk of potential delays to the programme. With the works scheduled to take place during the summer holidays, careful planning and coordination were essential to ensure all materials arrived on time. Through proactive communication with suppliers and efficient on-site management, the team successfully mitigated these risks, ensuring the project was completed and handed over on schedule.
