project overview

This project involved the refurbishment and resurfacing of an existing car park, with the primary objective being to uplift the current surface and replace it with a durable, new tarmac layer. The works included improvements to pedestrian access by enhancing a dedicated footpath that complies with safety standards and accessibility requirements. Special attention was given to ensuring the car park met disabled access regulations, providing adequate facilities and pathways for ease of use. The existing kerb edgings were retained as part of the project, integrating them seamlessly with the new surface while preserving the original layout and functionality of the site.

The Challenges & Changes

This project presented the challenge of working in a live environment, requiring careful coordination with local residents to minimize disruption.
With ongoing construction near homes, maintaining clear communication was key to managing noise, access, and safety concerns. Regular updates and collaborative scheduling ensured residents were informed of progress and temporary changes, allowing us to adapt our work to their needs while maintaining a safe and efficient job site. This approach helped us complete the project smoothly while fostering positive relationships with the community.
